Their Words Will Always Speak Louder than Ours.

Charles Rumsey

30-year law enforcement professional.

As a 30-year law enforcement professional in Maine, I haven’t met anyone who has been more dedicated to the mental health and wellness of our first responders than Hannah. Our careers have consisted of collaborating on cases of individuals in acute crisis our community, to the provision of peer support for first responders affected by serious traumatic events. No one – not even Hannah herself – could tell you the number of hours she’s spent connecting first responders to services or engaging with them directly to stabilize them in their moment of most dire need. There’s no question that she has saved lives, and has kept some police and fire professionals on the front lines that would otherwise have left (or lost) their jobs. Without hesitation, I would recommend Hannah as a counseling resource to a friend in need. I trust her, and in our world, trust is everything.

Hannah Longley has been a vital part of developing The Slicing Through the Stigma initiative. Her ongoing support, encouragement, and mentorship helped get it started. She has been an advocate for the agricultural community, supporting mental health and wellbeing initiatives and promoting education on Moral Injury and related topics.  Hannah demonstrates outstanding professionalism in her work, consistently creating a safe and supportive environment for those seeking mental health services or educational opportunities. Her commitment to ethical principles has earned her respect from colleagues and clients alike. Her compassionate, good-humored nature, combined with her extensive knowledge, enables her to effectively support clients through complex challenges and foster meaningful change in their lives. She has significantly influenced my success and personal healing journey.
