Hannah Longley, LCSW
Hannah Longley, LCSW has spent nearly two decades alongside people and communities in moments when life feels uncertain, high stakes, or deeply painful. Her work has focused on crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and strengthening the systems that help people stay safe. She founded Dochas Wellness to bring that experience into a practice built on connection, steady support, and real hope.
In therapy, Hannah offers a steady, practical approach rooted in safety, connection, and a sense of hope that feels real and attainable. She is especially experienced in supporting people impacted by trauma, emotional crisis, and elevated suicide risk. Hannah is as grounded as she is human. That means you will be met with compassion and clear clinical skill, without judgment and without being rushed.
Over the years, Hannah’s clinical work has included outpatient support, crisis stabilization, assessment, and care coordination. She has worked closely with families, first responders, and community partners, giving her a clear understanding of how stress and trauma can ripple through relationships and daily life. In therapy, that perspective becomes a simple and supportive truth: you do not have to carry this alone, and you do not have to figure it out all at once.
Therapy with Hannah
Before founding Dochas Wellness, Hannah served as the Director of Advocacy and Crisis Intervention at NAMI Maine (2018 to 2025). In that role, she helped expand statewide mental health training, advanced Crisis Intervention Team development across Maine, supported public safety partnerships, and contributed to policy and crisis system reform at both the state and national levels.
Earlier in her career, she supported service members and their families as a Psychological Health Coordinator with the Maine Army National Guard and led crisis programs as the Clinical Manager of Crisis Programs at Crisis and Counseling Centers. Across these roles, her focus has remained the same: strengthen safety, reduce barriers to care, and help people move from survival mode toward stability and recovery.
Behind Dochas Wellness
Through Dochas Wellness, Hannah also partners with organizations and communities across Maine to strengthen mental health readiness and crisis response. She provides training, consultation, and collaborative support for teams who want to respond to crisis with skill, clarity, and care.
Training and Consultation for Organizations
Hannah is an Adjunct Instructor at Central Maine Community College, where she teaches psychology, sociology, and public safety courses. She has received multiple awards recognizing her leadership in mental health and public safety collaboration, including honors from Maine CIT, the Maine Chiefs of Police, the Maine Association of Police, and NAMI National. She has also participated in national Bureau of Justice discussions focused on best practice guidelines for responses involving traumatic brain injury and co-response models.
