Dochas Wellness was created with a clear purpose: to nurture healing, resilience, and hope for people and communities facing hard moments. Our name comes from the Irish word for hope and optimism, and it reflects our belief that connection, safety, and recovery are possible for every person, including you.
A Name with a Purpose
Vision
We envision a future where every person facing emotional crisis or elevated risk is met with understanding, connection, and comprehensive support. Dochas Wellness aspires to be a trusted leader in trauma-informed practice, system collaboration, and community resilience, collaborating towards bridging gaps in care, reducing stigma, and ensuring that hope and safety are accessible to all.
Mission
At Dochas Wellness, our mission is to nurture healing, resilience, and hope for individuals and communities impacted by acute risk, critical events, and ongoing stress. We provide compassionate mental health services, specialized training, practical skills, and collaborative consultation that strengthen wellness and support safety. Through trauma-informed care and partnership with the systems that shape daily life, including families, workplaces, schools, and community organizations, we help people access both formal and informal support. Our work is guided by connection and built around clear pathways toward stability, recovery, and a hopeful future.
Philosophy
We believe healing happens through connection. When individuals are surrounded by knowledgeable professionals, supportive communities, and accessible resources, safety and hope become possible even in the midst of deep crisis. Dochas Wellness is committed to walking with people through their most challenging moments, building a network of support, and toward a future defined not by trauma, but by resilience.
